Oscar Miguel Martínez López
He earned a degree in plastic arts with a specialization in photography at the Universidad Veracruzana. He completed studies at the National Institute of Fine Arts (INBA). He is founder-partner and photography director at the Agencia Veracruzana de Comunicación y Noticias (AVC Noticias) in Veracruz. He is an organizer of the international photography festival Mirar Distinto and of the photography event Foto Experience.
He’s a Reuters photographer and his work has been published in the most important international media such as The New York Times, Washington Post, The Guardian, among others. He has also worked as a photographer for state media and national media. He’s a photography professor at the Luis Buñuel film school and at the photography school from Universidad Veracruzana. Additionally, he has participated in official expositions and at the international festival FotoFest in Houston. Oscar has also been invited as guest speaker at Neurótica Audiovisual Media Festival in Xalapa, Primera Semana del Periodista (First Week of the Journalist) in Tlaxcala and at the Photojournalism and Documentary Photography Festival in Tijuana.
